Reports of the death of the relationship between Russell Brand and Jemima Khan seem to be somewhat exaggerated. After Brand made allusions to his single status at a concert in Atlanta earlier this month (“I’m currently single”) many inferred this meant the end to their short-lived friendship. Which might have been awkward for him guest editing a forthcoming issue of the New Statesman, whose associate editor is, er, Jemima Khan.
So the Londoner was delighted to see Jemima in the stalls at Hammersmith Apollo last night for Brand’s stand-up show, Messiah Complex, laughing heartily at his material. The Londoner also hears the couple were hanging out together at the weekend at Columbia Road flower market.
“He was bantering with the flower sellers about his big dog.” No flowers under their arms, however.
