Yours for just £300,000, it's the record-breaking parking space in Hyde Park Gardens

A parking space near Hyde Park has gone on the market for a record-breaking £300,000.

The open-air spot measures 11ft x 21ft and is located in Hyde Park Gardens. It is now being offered for sale, with a 91-year lease.

This makes it nearly twice as much as the average house sold in England and Wales last month. Matthew Abernethy, of estate agent Kay & Co, sold two parking spaces nearby last year for £250,000 each.

He said: “The fact that people will pay more than the price of a small flat for the privilege of their own parking space is indicative of the desirability of parking in Westminster.”
