Two suspected World War Two bombs have been dug up by builders in Wandsworth.
Police were called to Battersea Church Road at 10.20am this morning following discovery of "ordnance" in the garden of a residential property.
Officers, along with an army disposal team and fire crews, declared the area safe by about midday but a second device was discovered soon after.
Scotland Yard said the second object was being treated as a potential WWII ordnance.
Two controlled explosions had been carried out by 2.15pm, the Met said this afternoon.
The surrounding roads, including Battersea Bridge Road, were closed while police investigated but were re-opened at about 2pm.
Motorists were initially advised to avoid the area.

Police also warned that river traffic on the Thames could be affected.
After the second device was found, Wandsworth police tweeted: "You really couldn't make it up. Builders have just dug up another. Sorry but roads being closed again."
Wandsworth Council tweeted: "Police and army bomb disposal team in Battersea Church Road dealing with what's thought to be small unexploded device from WW2."
