A man has been charged with attempted murder after another man was stabbed in Twickenham in broad daylight.

The victim, aged in his 40s, was found with stab injuries and was taken to hospital where his condition was assessed as not life-threatening.

Scotland Yard confirmed on Monday that officers have charged Oliver Huegdon, 39, of Kingston Road in Teddington, with attempted murder.

Neeraj Sharma, 40, of Queen’s Road, Twickenham, was charged with perverting the course of justice.

They were both due to appear at Wimbledon Magistrates’ Court on Monday.
