Commuters faced travel mayhem tonight as disruptions hit five London Underground lines as well as TfL Rail.

There are severe delays on the Circle line and Hammersmith and City line after a signal failure at Hammersmith station earlier.

A faulty train at Finchley Road also caused severe delays to the Metropolitan line and London Overground.

And people on the Victoria line faced severe delays between Victoria and Brixton and Seven Sisters to Walthamstow Central due to a signal failure.

Meanwhile, mechanical issues identified on a number of Jubilee line trains also caused minor delays to the service.

There are still minor delays on the Metropolitan line, Jubilee line and Victoria line.

On TfL Rail there were severe delays between Liverpool Street and Shenfield due to emergency engineering work, but a good service between Paddington and Heathrow Airport.

London Underground, London Buses and C2C were accepting valid TfL Rail tickets to aid with the disruption.

There are good services on all other London Underground lines, as well as the Overground, Tram and DRL.
