A woman is seriously injured after being hit by a coach in Tavistock Square.

Metropolitan Police officers and paramedics from London Ambulance Service rushed to the busy road close to Euston Station.

The female pedestrian was struck at 9.30am on Saturday.

She was rushed to a central London hospital where she is believed to be seriously injured, Scotland Yard confirmed.

It is not yet known how old the casualty is.

No arrests have been made.

The road was closed both ways while emergency services dealt with the incident.

A Met Police spokesman said: “Police were called at around 9.30am on Saturday, November 26, to a coach in collision with a pedestrian in Tavistock Square, WC1.

“Officers and London Ambulance Service attended the scene.

“The female pedestrian (we await her age) has been taken to a central London hospital. Her condition is believed to be critical.”
