Each year, thousands of revellers wearing Irish green and Guinness hats descend on London for St Patrick's Day.
In honour of the Irish patron saint, countless people soak up the luck of the Irish as they turn the capital green on March 17.
Although it's not a public holiday in England, London pulls out all the stops for St Patrick's Day each year.
As with previous years, the focal point of 2019's celebrations in the capital will be the annual parade on Sunday, with events over the weekend expected to attract more than 125,000 people.
Irish dancers and revellers will be marching from Hyde Park Corner to Trafalgar Square, where there will be a party with live music.
With thousands set to hit the capital, the Standard takes a look at some of the best pictures from past St Patrick's Day celebrations in London.
Pictures taken at the start of the millennium show dancers taking to the streets as Nelson's Column was lit up in Irish green.
Other pictures show pipers taking part in the 2012 parade, while green lights were projected on HMS Belfast and the London Eye.
In 2017, a 16ft tall puppet of St Patrick was put up in Trafalgar Square, when Irish dancers were also pictured on the Tube.
