Buildings across London  turned orange on Wednesday to honour the memory of Sarah Everard, whose death has sparked protests and discussions about women's safety.

Councils across the capital said they have lit up their town halls in remembrance of the women and girls who have experienced violence.

Ms Everard, a 33-year-old marketing executive, vanished from a Clapham street on March 3 while walking home.

Her body was found a week later in woodland in Kent and serving Met police officer Wayne Couzens has been charged with murder.
