These pictures show the moment a vintage Rolls Royce broke down next to a luxury Marylebone hotel, causing a long queue of frustrated motorists.

The 40-year-old gold car came to a full stop as it pulled up alongside The Landmark London Hotel, in Harewood Avenue, this morning.

Traffic was held up as the car spluttered to a halt in an unfortunate spot blocking a junction, while many passers-by stopped to take photographs of the scene.

The owners of the car declined to speak at the scene, but were happy to pose for photographs as they waited for police to arrive and help.

It was manufactured from 1975-1986, but was once ranked one of the ’10 Worst Cars’ and listed in a Crap Cars book printed in 2005.
