Pedestrian in hospital following car crash in Southwark

A pedestrian was rushed to hospital after being struck by a car in south London.

The man, thought to be aged in his late 60s, collided with the car in Old Kent Road, at the junction of Dutton Road, in Southwark.

Police and London Ambulance Service were called to the scene just after 11.30am this morning.

A spokesman for the Met said his injuries are not thought to be life-threatening.

Local road closures are in place and a number of buses are on diversion while police make enquires.
