A musician is creating an entire symphony orchestra from strangers he met on the Tube.

Shaun Buswell, 35, plans a concert with up to 100 musicians recruited from passengers.

Mr Buswell, who lives near Tower Hill and works in customer services, has so far signed up more than 50 players. “I just look for instrument cases. Sometimes people think my request is a little odd, but most want to hear more.”

Professional viola player Ben Gould, 31, said: “It’s a fantastic, innovative idea.”

Mr Buswell, who has never had a formal music lesson, is using a computer programme to write the score. The full orchestra will perform in December, with two smaller shows in September at The Union Chapel in Islington and on the London Eye.
