Finsbury Park crash: Motorcyclist dies after crash with car as dramatic footage shows bike engulfed in flames

A motorcyclist has died after colliding with a car in north London.

Dramatic footage showed a motorbike engulfed in flames following the collision in Seven Sisters Road, Finsbury Park, on Wednesday.

The rider, whose age was not immediately released by police, was treated by paramedics but he died at the scene.

Traffic was brought to a standstill and emergency services surrounded the area following the fatal crash at about 7.15pm.

The driver of the car stopped at the scene.

No arrests have been made.

A Metropolitan Police spokeswoman said: “Police were called at 19:16hrs on Wednesday, 3 July to Seven Sisters Road following reports of a road traffic collision involving a car and a motorcycle.

“Officers attended with the LAS.

“Sadly the motorcyclist, a man died at the scene.

“The driver of the car stopped at the scene. There have been no arrests.

“Extensive road closures are in place and motorists should use alternative routes.

Any witnesses are asked to call police on 101 using ref CAD 7548/3 July.
