MOBO winning rap artist J Hus has been axed from Wireless Festival.

The rapper was set to be appearing on the same day as Stormzy, Krept and Konan and Migos this Saturday at the north London music festival.

Festival organisers announced this afternoon that J Hus's performance had been pulled "due to unforseen circumstances."

The 23-year-old was arrested by police on June 21 and charged with possession of a knife two days later.

The Mercury Award nominee, whose real name is Momodou Jallow, is due to face trial later this month.

In a statement posted to their social media channels, Wireless Festival said: “Due to unforeseen circumstances, J Hus and Fredo will no longer be performing.”

Speculation had been mounting that J Hus may not perform. Some disappointed fans hastily tried to sell their tickets.

One person wrote online: "If this charge means J Hus aint coming Wireless, I'm selling my ticket."
