Two luxury cars were involved in a crash next to Buckingham Palace in the early hours of this morning.

A Mercedes and an Audi were left badly damaged after the smash on The Mall just before 6am.

Emergency services said several patients were treated after the collision but nobody required hospital treatment.

A spokesman for the Met said: "We were called to reports of a car versus car collision at 5.54am at the junction of The Mall and Marlborough Road.
