London pupils on campaign trail

Six of London’s brightest state school children have been chosen to travel to Florida to campaign in the presidential election.

The sixth formers from Clapton Girls Academy and Prendergast Ladywell Fields College, Lewisham, won places on the trip funded by the Transformation Trust for their interest in politics and volunteering.

They will be split between the Obama and Romney campaigns before flying to Washington to watch the election results.
