Prince Harry rushed to help former Olympian Sylvia Disley after she took a tumble during a London Marathon medal presentation.

The 86-year-old, who is the widow of the event’s co-founder John Disley, lost her footing on the podium and fell to the ground as spectators looked on.

The Prince, who is patron of the London Marathon Charitable Trust, immediately rushed to her aid and helped Mrs Disley back to her feet.

Both Mrs Disley and Prince Harry then continued with their duties and presented the Disley Lifetime Achievement award to Hugh Jones, who was the first British winner of the men’s title in 1982.
