Liverpool and England legend John Barnes delighted fans on the Tube last night by belting out the rap from World cup hit World In Motion.

The ex-midfield ace was travelling back from Wembley Stadium, having watched his old side thrash Barcelona 4-0.

Footage posted online showed Barnes being encouraged to perform his verse from the 1990 New Order anthem.

After being counted in, Barnes, 52, starts leading the carriage in a mass rendition of his legendary rhymes.

As he reaches his top, he even keeps on rapping while backing out of the carriage, to rapturous applause.

Liverpool fan Daniel McCafferty tweeted the footage, writing: "Okay so this just happened... Tube on way back from today's game!"

He added: "John Barnes really is just one of the lads."

Fan Liam Robinson wrote: "That is the greatest thing I've ever seen."
