This is the dramatic moment the RNLI rescued a woman who had fallen seven feet onto the foreshore of the River Thames.

The female cyclist was rescued at 10pm on Sunday evening after suffering a head injury in the fall.

She was rescued from the foreshore at Strand on the Green by the Chiswick Lifeboat Crew.

In dramatic scens, the lifeboat crew can be seen arriving at the site as a large crowd of onlookers attempts to help the woman.

Members of the crew attend to the woman straight away, giving her treatment for her head injury and removing her from the incoming tide.

She can be seen being placed onto a board by the RNLI crew before being passed over to ambulance staff who put her on a stretcher and take her to hospital.

Earlier this month, the RNLI rescued a man minutes from drowning after he decided to cool off in the Thames.

Rescue teams found the man desperately clinging to a wooden pier to prevent himself being swept away by the Thames which was a full flood at the time.
