A 58-year-old woman who died after being hit by a coach near King’s Cross station has been named as Christine Linda Luscombe.

Police have launched a fresh appeal for witnesses after Ms Luscombe, from Upper Holloway, was struck in Midland Road on Tuesday.

Despite a desperate battle by paramedics from London’s Air Ambulance and London Ambulance Service to save her, she died at the scene of the crash just after 4.15pm.

Scotland Yard confirmed that a formal identification had taken place and Ms Luscombe’s family had been informed of her death.

A spokesman added that the driver of the coach stopped at the scene and no arrests had been made.

A post-mortem examination is scheduled to take place at St Pancras Mortuary on Friday, 2 December.
