Jamie Oliver is considering closing London branches of his “British pizza” brand Union Jacks after disappointing takings.

The chain has three outlets in the capital — in Covent Garden, Central St Giles and Chiswick — as well as Winchester.

It was launched in 2011 with US pizza restaurateur Chris Bianco. Sources said that the Covent Garden branch was doing “really well” but the others were struggling to hit targets.
