A teenage moped rider has died following a crash with a car in west London.

Police and paramedics rushed to Twickenham Road, Isleworth, at about 1.15pm on Thursday.

The 18-year-old rider was pronounced dead at the scene following the fatal collision with a Toyota.

The driver of the car stopped at the scene, the Metropolitan Police said in statement.

Officers are appealing for witnesses to the crash.

Scotland Yard said: “The 18-year-old rider was treated by the London Ambulance Service but died at the scene at 1.59pm. His next of kin have been informed.

“A post-mortem examination will be scheduled in due course.”

“There have been no arrests and enquiries continue.”
