From Harrods to pound land, another Lamborghini seized by police

A supercar worth £300,000 was today still being held in a police car pound, two days after the driver was stopped for driving without insurance documents.

Met traffic officers seized the 217mph, Dubai-registered Lamborghini Aventador near Harrods on Wednesday.

It was today still in the Met’s Perivale car pound with a large fine attached after being carried away on a flatbed truck. Residents complain that noisy Lamborghinis shipped from Gulf states are being revved loudly around the streets of Knightsbridge in the early hours.

Last month, a purple Lamborghini Aventador — with a illuminated strips on the body inspired by the film Tron — was displayed outside Scotland Yard as a warning to boy racers who don’t carry their insurance documents with them.
