A newsagent in London is selling photocopied versions of the Charlie Hebdo survivor’s edition, according to reports.

The shop is said to have sold out of all 70 copies of the fake version this afternoon after selling them for up to £9 each.

It is being sold in France for €3 (£2.30).

The seller, based in Farringdon, told the Press Gazette he paid to get the magazine imported himself, which explained the cost.

It was printed on A4 paper instead of A3 and the pages were cropped, suggesting a DIY job.

Bids for the English version of the controversial magazine reached more than £500 on eBay yesterday.

It is believed only around 1,000 editions have been imported to the UK.
