Edmonton crash: Man fights for life after being hit by car in North London

A man is fighting for his life after being hit by a car in north London in the early hours of today.

The pedestrian was rushed to hospital with life-threatening injuries after the collision in Edmonton just after 4am.

Police appealed for witnesses to come forward and warned of road closures in place near where the collision happened in busy Fore Street, near the junction with Park Road.

A Met Police spokesman said: "Given the location, Fore Street is a busy road and there would have been a number of other road users in the vicinity at the time of the collision.

"Detectives are appealing for anyone who witnessed the incident to come forward and assist them with their enquires."

The driver stopped at the scene and there were no arrests.
