Double-decker on fire in suspected arson attack

Blaze: The burning number 69 bus
19 October 2012

A London double-decker bus was engulfed by flames in a suspected arson attack.

Firefighters were called to the scene in Selborne Road, outside Walthamstow Central station, just after 12.30am.

No-one was injured but the top floor of the vehicle, a number 69, was destroyed.

Transport for London said they believed the fire was started deliberately and a witness said it followed an argument between two teenage girls and a bus driver.
