A dog owner is selling the entire contents of her west London flat to help fund a potentially life-saving £37,000 operation for her pet.

Dolly-Ann Osterleh, 32, will throw open the doors of her home in Paddington at 9pm tonight in a bid to sell her belongings to save her Yorkshire Terrier/Chihuahua cross-breed.

German national Ms Osterleh, is inviting bargain-hunters to “buy anything they see” for 24 hours to help raise enough money to take her beloved Snoopy to undergo pioneering heart surgery in Paris.

She told the Guardian: “You can buy anything you see.

“My clothes, my furniture, my makeup, even the lock on my door if you wish … except my dog. There will be a price for everything, people can look into my cupboard and say: ‘I want your salt and pepper.’ I will be OK without salt and pepper for a month.”

The designer got Snoopy from a shelter in America nine years ago after he was found dumped in a dustbin.

His owner has since had him featured in photographs alongside Queen’s Brian May and author Richard Dawkins.

Last month, the dog was diagnosed with mitral valve disease after suffering breathing difficulties.

Despite being told by vets that the disease was not treatable, Ms Osterleh discovered a Facebook page which claimed to offer a full cure.

The page added that the full cost of the operation must be paid in cash, according to the Guardian.

But, despite taking out a bank loan, draining her savings and setting up an online fundraising account, the desperate dog-lover was left £9,000 short.

She told the newspaper: “Snoopy means the world to me, he’s just like a family member.

“There’s nothing more valuable to me – all these material things don’t really mean anything to me compared to my dog.”

Stars including actor Brian Blessed have backed the campaign on social media.
