Generous ex-England ace David Beckham has been spotted buying a homeless man a beer and burger during a family day out in Chelsea.

Beckham, 41, handed the man his treat after stepping out of Tommi's Burger Joint on the King's Road.

He then stopped to chat with the man before heading off with his young children.

The former Manchester United and Real Madrid star had been dining in the restaurant with youngsters Harper, four, 11-year-old Cruz and Romeo, 13.

A diner told The Sun: "David came out with the burger in his hand and the bottle of beer in his pocket.

"When he handed the burger to the homeless man, the guy’s face just lit up.

"It was such a lovely gesture."

Beckham is making a habit of buying Londoners unexpected gifts.

In February, he bought coffees for a Euston paramedic as she tended to an elderly patient who had fallen over.
