Contest to find London's most fashionable postcode

Fashion conscious: Tinie Tempah and Sir Paul Smith
3 January 2014

A contest to find London’s most stylish postcode has been launched as part of a campaign to showcase the booming menswear industry.

Londoners have been invited to nominate their area in a celebration of two centuries of men’s style leaders from Beau Brummel to Tinie Tempah, pictured above with Sir Paul Smith. The contest is being held ahead of the start of the fourth season of London Collections: Men, which runs from Monday to Wednesday.

Exhibitions being held to mark the event include The Anatomy of the Suit at Museum of London and Hello, My Name is Paul Smith at the Design Museum.

Mayor Boris Johnson said: “As the birthplace of the three-piece suit and the bowler hat, London has an unrivalled fashion heritage. Our goal is to ensure that it remains ahead of the world fashion pack, and to support a sector that creates thousands of jobs and generates £10 billion each year.”
