Clapham Junction delays: Air ambulance lands near busy station after person hit by a train

Emergency services were called to Clapham Junction this evening after reports a person was hit by a train.

Witnesses reported London's Air Ambulance landed in the Asda car park near to the busy south London station at about 7.30pm on Sunday.

Martin Costello tweeted: "I think the Air Ambulance just landed in the Clapham Junction ASDA car park from the looks of what I can see from my room."

Passengers who were travelling through the area reported their train guard said there were delays due to a person under a train.

South West Trains services to and from Waterloo are delayed by up to an hour following the incident.

Delays are expected to continue until at least 11pm.
