A woman was rushed to hospital after being hit by a bus in Battersea.

Police were called to Falcon Road, close Lavender Hill, just before 6am today to reports of the collision.

The pedestrian, aged in her 20s, was taken to hospital suffering a leg injury by paramedics from London Ambulance Service.

A spokeswoman said: “We were called today at 5:44am to reports of a road traffic collision on Falcon Road.

“We sent an ambulance crew and a single responder in a car to the scene.

“We treated a person for a leg injury and took them to hospital as a priority.”

The crash comes just days after 32-year-old Italian waitress Lucia Ciccioli was killed on Lavender Hill when she was hit by a truck as she cycled to work.
