Car overturns in middle of road following collision with pedestrian and cyclist

A driver has escaped with minor injuries after her car overturned in the middle of a busy road in south London.

The silver Vauxhall Corsa flipped over in Brixton Road, Lambeth, following a collision involving a cyclist and a pedestrian.

A woman in her 30s was taken to King's College Hospital with minor injuries. The pedestrian and the cyclist did not require hospital treatement.

A spokeswoman for the London Ambulance Service said: "We sent an ambulance crew and single responder car to the scene to treat a woman reported to be in her 30s for minor injuries."

Brixton Road has been closed southbound since the incident with buses on diversion, causing traffic problems in the area.

Officers are investigating the cause of the accident.
