They have yet to release a record, but London-based teen heart-throbs Lawson drew hundreds of screaming fans — puzzling rush-hour commuters —when they played a gig on the Eurostar concourse at St Pancras.

Andy Brown, 24, Adam Pitts, Joel Peat and Ryan Fletcher, all 22, have built a following by performing their own material on social media websites and are now signed to Polydor.

Their debut single is out this month and their album is produced by John Shanks who has worked with Take That, Bon Jovi, Sheryl Crow and Westlife.

“We didn’t expect such a good turnout so we’re delighted,” said Brown after last night’s show. “We may seem new but we’ve been working hard for four years doing gigs up and down the country.

“We look like a boyband but we wouldn’t put ourselves in that category.”

Fan Georgia Preece, 14, from Maidenhead, said: “We follow them on Facebook and Twitter. They are going to be massive.”
