A motorcyclist was rushed to hospital today after being struck by a car in Battersea Park Road.

Police and the London Ambulance Service (LAS) were called to the scene, which took place in the junction of Ambercrombie Street, Battersea, at 8.17am this morning.

The motorcyclist, believed to be in his 30s, suffered from back and leg injuries.

A spokesman for the LAS said: “We sent a single responder in a car and an ambulance crew to the scene.

“Our medics treated a man, reported to be in his 30s, for back and leg injuries.

“He was collared and boarded at the scene given pain relief and taken to the Chelsea and Westminster Hospital as a priority.”

The road was partially closed after the incident but the carriageway is now fully open.
