Animal lovers launch campaign to replace ALL Tube ads with cat pictures

Jamie Bullen29 April 2016

Pictures of cats could be plastered over adverts at one Tube station after more than 100 people backed a campaign to make it happen.

A group of London-based cat lovers, known as the Citizens Advertising Takeover Service (C.A.T.S), have set up a fundraising drive to turn one station “into a roaring festival of cats”.

The group claim they have permission to replace the ads if they can raise £23,000 by Saturday, May 21

Since the Kickstarter drive was launched this week, 119 people have donated to cause raising nearly £3,000.

The post reads: “We know this is a silly project. But what if we did this around the whole country, or in every major city in the world? Cats everywhere!

“Maybe cats won't make us happy, but it’s got to be better than insurance adverts.”

Donations of £30 will result in a C.A.T.S t-shirt while £100 will see proud owners have space reserved for their pets to appear on a poster.
