A young woman was dragged from the street into a garden and raped by a stranger in a terrifying attack this weekend.

Police said the victim, in her 20s, was attacked in the early hours of Saturday morning as she walked through Finchley.

A spokesman said: “The victim was dragged from the street into a garden and attacked by an unknown man.

“She is being provided with support by specialist officers. There have been no arrests and enquires continue.”

Police appealed for any witnesses or anyone with information to contact them on 101 of call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
