A man is fighting for life after being stabbed on a street in Woolwich on Sunday night.

Officers were called to Mayplace Lane just after midnight on Sunday, where they found a 19-year-old man with knife injuries.

He was rushed to hospital, where he remains in a life-threatening condition. His family have been informed.

Two males, both 15, were arrested nearby on suspicion of attempted murder.

They have been bailed pending further enquiries.

Detectives from the local policing team in south east London have appealed for witnesses, who have not yet spoken with police, to come forward.
