A 53-year-old bus passenger in south east London had his leg fractured after being attacked by three people hurling racist insults, police say.

The late night fight broke out on the 89 bus in Shooters Hill near Woolwich when two men and a woman started racially abusing other passengers, it is claimed.

One man needed hospital treatment after he was allegedly assaulted by the trio at around 11.15pm on May 18 as the bus approached Shrewsbury Lane.

Police want to trace three people over the incident who were captured on the bus CCTV system.
