A woman was sexually assaulted after getting off a train in Harlow.

The 38-year-old victim was grabbed from behind and pushed over as she walked on a footpath between Fifth Avenue and Newstead Way at 11.35pm on Thursday.

She was sexually assaulted before the attacker was disturbed and ran off.

He is described as 5ft 10in tall, of medium build and is believed to have dark hair. He was wearing a hooded top and was carrying a rucksack.

Essex Police want to speak to a man wearing a baseball cap and casual clothing who was walking his dog in Newstead Way and disturbed the attacker.

Anyone with information should call Detective Constable Leo Fordham at Harlow CID on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
