A woman was raped in an upmarket central London street after asking three teenagers for directions home.

The woman, in her 50s, approached three youths in Edgware Road, Westminster at around 6am to ask for help getting home as she returned from a night out.

Police said the trio, described as teenagers of Asian or Arabic appearance, led her to Park West Place, where she was raped. They fled the scene on foot.

The shocking attack happened on Saturday morning.

Detectives from the the Sexual Offences Exploitation and Child Abuse Command are examining CCTV footage and forensics as part of their investigation.

No one has been arrested

Any witnesses or anyone with information that may help the investigation is asked to call police on 101 or Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
