A woman has been charged with making fraudulent claims for support provided to the survivors of the Grenfell Tower fire.
Joyce Msokeri, 46, of Ambleside Gardens, Sutton, south London, is charged with six counts of fraud, the Metropolitan Police said.
She will appear in custody at Westminster Magistrates' Court today.
Msokeri was arrested on July 25.
A spokesman for Kensington and Chelsea council said: "We cannot talk about individual cases, especially those under investigation, but whenever the council suspects fraud we contact and involve the police.
"If fraud on any level has been committed this would be appalling as it could directly, and negatively, impact the council’s efforts to give crucial help and support to the victims and survivors of the fire."
Anyone with any information about fraud being committed is asked to contact the team investigating the fire, which claimed at least 80 lives in June, on 0800 032 4539.
