A woman has been charged for abducting two children in Lambeth.

Evelyn Awuah, 42, of no fixed address, was charged on Sunday, May 8, following an incident relating to the disappearance of the youngsters.

She is known to the children, who were reported missing on the evening of Saturday May 7.

They were found safe and well later the same evening, the Metropolitan Police said.

Awuah appeared at Croydon Magistrates’ Court on Monday, where she was remanded in custody to appear at Croydon Crown Court on Monday, June 6.
