Police are hunting two men after the attempted rape of a woman in an east London underpass.

Officers said the victim was grabbed "around her upper body" by one of the men while another man exposed himself.

The woman, aged in her 20s, was able to flee the scene after the horrifying ordeal at around 8.30am on Sunday, according to police.

She reported the incident to police and did not require medical attention after the assault, in an underpass beneath the Barking Northern Relief Road near to Linton Road.

The two suspects are described as white men, wearing black clothing. They spoke in a language other than English, police said.

Anyone with information is asked to call police on 020 8217 7412 or contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
