A man has been charged with stealing a diamond worth more than half a million pounds from a home in central London.

Justinas Ivaskivicius 34, of Fallowfield, Cambridge, is accused of taking the rock worth £515,000 from a house in Westminster at some point between December 12 and 15, 2017.

He also faces two counts of possessing criminal property after being found with a “quantity of cash”, Scotland Yard said.

Detectives from Met Police’s Flying Squad arrested Ivaskivicius at an address in Chesterton, Cambridge on Wednesday.
