A 21-year-old man was also arrested on suspicion of perverting the course of justice on Thursday and is currently being held in custody at a south London police station.

Mr Hammia’s mother told the Standard her son was going straight after time in prison.

She told the Standard the keen boxer was “trying to turn his life around” when he was killed.

An Australian nanny battled in vain to save his life as he lay on the ground.

In total, seven people have been arrested in connection with the stabbing.

A 30-year-old man, a 29-year-old woman and a 40-year-old man were also arrested on suspicion of murder but have since been released without charge.

A trial is set to start on Monday, October 23, at the Old Bailey.
