A young man has been knifed in a broad daylight attack amid a spate of violence across London.
The victim, aged 21, was rushed to hospital after he was stabbed in Billet Road, Walthamstow on Thursday afternoon.
Scotland Yard said the injuries are not believed to be serious.
Police were called to the scene at 12.50pm.
An eyewitness shared a video on Twitter showing scores of police cars stationed around the scene of the attack, close to the George White Sports Ground.
In the video, an ambulance was seen parked where at the junction with Knebworth Avenue.
They wrote: "Another stabbing in Walthamstow. Sad times."
A separate witness wrote: "Another Stabbing on my road in Walthamstow. This is getting out of hand."
"So just exactly who has to get killed before the police and government do something?" another added.
MP for Walthamstsow Stella Creasy posted a statement on her Facebook page, saying she “understand[s] the shock and fear this is causing and that inevitably there will be speculation as to what has happened and why”.
“I would ask everyone to respect that it is important to have accurate information about these situations so I will only provide more information as and when I get it that can be verified,” she added.
The stabbing comes amid fears of a violent crime epidemic in London, where there have been 55 killings since the start of 2018.
