Police are on the hunt for a man after another man, in his 20s, was attacked by a group of at least six people and stabbed in Walthamstow.

The man was targeted by the mob on North Countess Road around 4.45pm on Wednesday March 22.

He was rushed to hospital with injuries including a stab wound, Metropolitan Police said. His condition was later deemed non life-threatening.

Detectives are now asking for the public’s help to identify a man seen on CCTV in the area at around the time the attack happened.

They have released an image of the man in question.

Anyone who can help the investigation is asked to call 101 quoting reference CAD 5343/17Mar. To remain anonymous contact the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
