Two teenagers have been arrested and taken to hospital following reports of a knife fight outside a south London McDonald’s.

Police were called to a disturbance in Butterfly Walk, Camberwell, at 5.30pm involving a group of people.

Investigators established two youths were involved in a fight surrounded by a number of witnesses.

Onlookers took to Twitter to say the youths were involved in a knife fight but police confirmed no-one had been stabbed.

One said: “Just seen school kids stabbing each other outside McDs in camberwell claret everywhere, shocking.”

The teens, aged 16 and 17, were arrested and taken to a south London hospital suffering from minor injuries.

Police in Southwark are investigating.
