Two young men were taken to hospital after a double stabbing on an estate in north London.

Police said the men - aged in their late teens or early 20s - were injured in a knife attack just after 6pm.

The London Air Ambulance was called but the pair are not thought to have life-threatening injuries after the attack on the Andover Estate in Finsbury Park.

The @AndoverEstate Twitter account posted: "Two youth stabbed on the Andover. Taken by ambulance to hospital and @IslingtonBC thinks they know the answers to what this community needs."

A Scotland Yard spokesman said: "We were called to reports of two young men being stabbed on the Andover Estate in Islington at 6.15pm.

"They were both taken to hospital in a stable condition and are believed to be in the late teens or early 20s. There have been no arrests and enquiries continue."
