Police are re-visiting the scene of a fatal stabbing in a bid to jog the memories of any potential witnesses to the crime.

Teon Palmer, 28, was attacked a week ago tonight in Lower Edmonton, north London, and died after being stabbed in the chest.

Scotland Yard said officers would be in Montagu Road and Goodwin Road late this evening, speaking to passers-by and hoping to trace new witnesses.

They issued further information on a number of males, described as wearing hooded tops or jackets, that detectives wish to trace.

Mr Palmer's blue Vauxhall Astra was vandalised before he was attacked, with all four tyres being slashed. Up to seven black males, described as wearing hooded tops or jackets, were seen making off from the location.

Acting Detective Chief Inspector Andy Yeats, leading the investigation, said: "We now think that up to four of them were on bicycles, with the others on foot. And we have information suggesting the group may have been in the area up to an hour before the incident.

"We need to hear from anyone who may have seen them and at any point before or after the car was damaged and Mr Palmer was stabbed.

"If you have witnessed anything, no matter how insignificant it may seem, please contact my team - your information could prove vital to this investigation."

On Thursday a 23-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of murder. He was later bailed to return to a north London police station in early December pending further enquiries.

Anyone with information was asked to contact the incident room on 020 8345 1570, or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
