A teenager was viciously stabbed, punched, and kicked, after he was set upon by three men in an Islington Street.
Police were called after the 18-year-old man visited a north London hospital at around 2am on Saturday, with a stab wound to his buttock.
Officers believe that the victim came across three men in Granville Street, N1, at around 7pm on Friday.
The men chased the victim, and when they caught up with him they punched and kicked him, before stabbing him and then fleeing the scene.
The man received treatment for his injury and was later discharged from hospital.
Detectives from the Trident and Area Crime Command are investigating the attack.
Detective Inspector Glen Butler, said: "I am appealing to anyone who was in the vicinity of Granville Street prior to the incident or anyone who witnessed the assault itself to come forward and assist us with our investigation.
"Any information no matter how small may just provide us with the lead we require to trace and arrest those responsible for this vicious attack."
